Knapsack Magazine is an anthology series exploring our collective weird-kid nostalgia. These are stories you would read after-school in the car; a new volume of manga you can’t wait to open, with colors, characters, stories and words that are evocative of a not-so-distant but equally bygone era.  

Recipes, late night snacks, kitchen appliances, savory & sweet, a baker’s dozen, gingham picnic blankets, measuring cups, kids meal toys, mugs with funny mascots on them, vintage soda labels, a golden spoon, fruits and vegetables, vending machines, farmers markets, easy bake ovens… Lucky Pocket asked their artists to follow the theme as closely or as loosely as they'd like. 

This volume will be offset printed in tomato red and lettuce green inks. Each comic is printed in one color, alternating throughout the volume. Everything else is in two colors, and has been made deliberately to mimic the style of risograph printing by utilizing the semi-translucent quality of offset inks.
