How does it feel to be the last living member of your species? Extinction is a 36-page poetry comic that follows a solitary creature foggily recalling their past companion; moving towards an otherworldly reunion. 

When I wrote Extinction I was thinking about how grief ripples through many scales: individual and collective memory loss, the absence of relationship, environmental destruction, species extinction. grief is a landscape. Grief is remembering and grief is forgetting. Grief is also life-affirming: it is love’s mirror, it is love with nowhere to go.
