Mangaka Underground Comix #2 by Floyd Tangeman

Tangeman presents a collection of recent anthology work and more, but this is no mere 'odds and ends' collection. Tangeman's work is often a stand out in any anthology he contributes to, but is so distinctive that it often isn't done justice out in the wild. It can, at times, become a sort of commentary on more straightforward work within a given publication that it stands beside. Here, collected together, we get to see the work in a deeper way, interacting with itself. The full effect of what Tangeman is up to becomes clear, the strength of his cartooning becomes impossible to resist.
