“Die Homer” is a re-telling of the 1988 action thriller Die Hard in under 60 pages, starring Homer Simpson – a balls-to-the-wall tribute that’s equal parts homage and parody. The comic book is a bold and brilliant cartoon with a punk ethos, and gives us Marge Simpson as John McClane’s estranged wife Holly, Garfield as her cocain-obsessed colleague Ellis, Sonic the Hedgehog as Argyle the limo driver, a Moomin, Gonzo, Skeletor, Scrooge McDuck, and whole flock of Angry Birds.
